The Signivio approach

Feel. Identify.
Select your programme.

A number on your appliance. Its meaning on the reference plate. Together, they provide a clear, tactile way to identify programmes.

The tactile label

Fitted around the dial, it makes programme positions tactile. Braille numbers save space, while the matching reference plate provides the full programme names.

The matching reference plate

The rigid plate explains the numbers and corresponding programmes. Lettering is available in Braille or raised print: familiar letter shapes that can be read by touch. Label and plate are designed together for your model and produced using raised UV printing.

A coordinated set

Your label comes with the matching reference plate, instructions and an alcohol wipe to prepare the surface. Everything is delivered in a Signivio box.

Made for your needs

It starts with
your appliance.

Everyone’s vision is different. What matters is what you can recognise visually or by touch in everyday use. We tailor the shape, lettering, colours and markings to you and your appliance.

  • Braille or raised print

We print both Braille and raised letters and numbers in familiar print shapes. Together, we choose lettering to suit your reading preferences and the space available.

  • Transparent or opaque white

The standard transparent film keeps the original labels visible for sighted household members. An opaque white version is also available.

  • Colours and contrast to suit you

A colour-only system without lettering is also possible: for example, yellow for programme 1 and red for programme 2. This requires you to be able to reliably distinguish the chosen colours and associate them with the programmes. As vision and perception vary from person to person, we discuss colours and contrasts with you individually. Colours can also be combined with tactile markings. Printing is available within the CMYK colour range.

  • For other household appliances, too

As well as washing machines, we assess solutions for other appliances and controls on request. Suitability depends on the specific model and control surface.

From enquiry to finished product

Three steps to your Signivio solution.

  1. Tell us about your appliance

Provide the manufacturer and exact model name. You may also tell us which markings, colours or contrasts would help. If needed, we will then request a photograph of the control panel with a ruler or tape measure alongside it.

  2. Receive a tailored quotation

We prepare a quotation for your label and reference plate, including layout design. Scope and design are agreed before production. Your enquiry does not place an order.

  3. Production and delivery

Once you place your order, we manufacture and dispatch your set. If a replacement is needed later, the existing layout can make reproduction simpler and less expensive.

Applying for funding

You can apply to your German health insurance provider for funding for Signivio. Coverage may be available; your insurer decides whether and to what extent costs are covered on a case-by-case basis. Please clarify the requirements and any approval before placing an order. Self-funded orders are also possible.

Good to know

Your questions.
Our answers.

Does Signivio fit every washing machine?

We assess your specific model. The geometry and function of the control panel determine the possible solution. Please provide the exact model name; we will request a photograph later if needed.

Do I need to read Braille?

No. We also offer individually tailored colour systems and raised letters and numbers in familiar print shapes. These can be an alternative if you are familiar with the shapes and can recognise them by touch. We discuss the lettering, size and arrangement with you to suit your needs and appliance. The Braille versions shown require the relevant Braille skills.

How is the label fitted?

After switching off the appliance, clean the surface as instructed, let it dry and align the label with the dial. Press it down gently with your fingertips. Full fitting and safety instructions are available in our installation guide.

Can I order a replacement later?

Yes. If we already have the matching layout, a replacement can be made without a complete redesign. Please provide your previous order number and appliance model if possible. We will quote the cost individually.

Are standard products or an online shop available?

We currently manufacture to order and provide individual quotations. We plan to build a collection of reusable layouts over time. There is currently no online shop or public price list.

A no-obligation enquiry

Which solution
works for you?

Tell us about your appliance. Together, we can explore the options and prepare an individual quotation.

You do not need a photograph for your initial enquiry. If we need one, we will explain how to include a clear measuring reference.
